Shelbi Milkas
M.S. CCC-SLP, TSSLD
Shelbi is a New York State licensed and American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA) certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from SUNY Cortland and a Masters of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from SUNY Buffalo State College.
Shelbi also holds a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certificate in New York State and is Level 1 PROMPT trained. She has over 5 years of experience in the field ranging from treating Early Intervention services, preschool, elementary, and middle school students.
Shelbi currently works as a Speech-Language Pathologist at a preschool program, with children ages 3-5 years old, where she develops and implements individualized education programs (IEPs). She has experience in expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, social pragmatic disorders, literacy skill development, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Shelbi is empathetic and enthusiastic about making each time with her students positive, engaging, meaningful and enjoyable. She also ensures a safe and accepting environment for each child she works with.
