Ages 3-5:

In this group, young children explore communication through play-based activities, using visual supports, songs, and interactive storytelling. The focus is on celebrating each child’s unique way of interacting, whether through verbal or nonverbal means. Children are encouraged to express themselves authentically while learning turn-taking, joint attention, and sharing ideas. Activities emphasize emotional expression and collaboration without pushing neurotypical social expectations.

Ages 6-8:

This group encourages children to build communication skills through games, role-playing, and problem-solving activities. The focus is on promoting curiosity, understanding others' perspectives, and fostering flexible communication strategies. Emphasis is placed on empowering children to communicate in ways that feel comfortable for them, while developing strategies for navigating social interactions. Self-advocacy and celebrating diverse communication styles are key themes.

Ages 9-11:

In this group, children work together on collaborative projects and discussions, learning how to negotiate different social situations with confidence. Emphasis is on fostering authentic friendships, practicing teamwork, and developing self-awareness of their communication strengths. Group discussions normalize differences in social preferences, encouraging children to celebrate their identities. The group supports self-acceptance while offering tools to navigate group dynamics in ways that honor each child’s individuality.

Each group is designed to validate neurodivergent communication styles while fostering meaningful connections and promoting emotional well-being.
